KATHMANDU- The CPN-UML recently concluded its 8th Central Committee meeting, emphasizing the government's and the party's foreign policy strategies. 
The meeting underscored the importance of Nepal's balanced diplomatic approach, focusing on fostering relations with neighboring countries, including India and China, and engaging actively in global platforms to safeguard Nepal's interests.
It also reaffirmed Nepal's commitment to a non-aligned foreign policy that prioritizes sovereignty and mutual respect. Party leaders discussed enhancing Nepal's geopolitical positioning amid shifting global dynamics. They stressed the need for sustainable economic development through foreign investments and partnerships while addressing the impacts of climate change and global security challenges.
The meeting concluded with a resolution urging all stakeholders to work collaboratively to advance Nepal's diplomatic standing and ensure the country's national interests are safeguarded on the international stage.
